Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa says he is fine after a scary incident during Monday's win over the Los Angeles Rams when he took a knee to the head attempting to make a tackle after throwing an interception.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Tagovailoa said he feels "good" even though he used "bad tackling form" on the play.

The play occurred early in the second quarter when Tagovailoa's pass intended for Jaylen Waddle was picked off by Rams linebacker Christian Rozeboom.

Rozeboom was running up the sideline when Tagovailoa lowered his body in an attempt to make a tackle, resulting in Rozeboom's knee making contact with his head.

Given the concussion issues that Tagovailoa has had, there was immediate concern that he might have suffered another injury. There was no obvious indication anything was wrong. He got right up and walked to the sideline.

Tagovailoa played the rest of the game without any obvious issue. He finished 20-of-28 for 207 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the 23-15 victory that kept the Dolphins' slim playoff hopes alive.

The next few days will likely be informative about Tagovailoa's physical state. He played an entire game against the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day two years ago, but it was revealed three days later that he suffered a concussion during the game.

Tagovailoa missed four games earlier this season after suffering a concussion in Miami's Week 2 loss against the Buffalo Bills. It was the third diagnosed concussion of his NFL career.

Monday's win improved Miami's record to 3-6 overall this season. The Dolphins are only one game behind the Denver Broncos in the loss column for the final playoff spot in the AFC entering Week 11.

Following the Miami Dolphins 23-15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, fans had high praise for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in his third game back after entering concussion protocol during Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.

In a solid showing for both teams, Tagovailoa stood out on Monday night alongside wide receiver Tyreek Hill who recorded his first touchdown since Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With their win, Miami improved to 3-6 on the season, snapping a three-game losing streak, while the Rams fell to 4-5.

Tagovailoa completed 20-of-28 passes for 207 yards, with one touchdown, one interception and one fumble. Hill contributed with 27 total yards and one touchdown.

On the other side, Stafford and the Rams were held to zero touchdowns as he completed 32-of-46 passes for 293 yards, with one interception and two fumbles.

Since his return against the Arizona Cardinals, Tagovailoa has completed 73-of-94 passes for 672 total yards and four passing touchdowns, impressing fans with his performance, despite the team's losses prior to Monday night. The 26-year-old Alabama alum is drawing attention for his strong comeback.

Next Sunday, the Dolphins will look to grab a back-to-back win as they face the 2-7 Las Vegas Raiders at home.

Video: Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa Talks Concussions, Doesn't Want to Be 'Poster Boy'

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa opened up about the multiple concussions he has suffered and his process to return to the field ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

"It never stuck in my mind that I was ever thinking of retiring," he told ESPN's Jeff Darlington (3:45 mark). "Whether the doctors told me that or not, it would have just been information for me. With what I was doing working out week-to-week, I'm in here every day and it's a no-brainer, like what am I working hard for then?"

He also said doctors never told him to retire.

"I can tell you what I don't want to be," Tagovailoa added. "The poster boy for concussions. That is for sure."

Tagovailoa suffered a concussion during Miami's Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills and proceeded to miss the next four contests before returning for a Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Dolphins went 1-3 without him and entered Monday's game against the Rams with a 2-6 record, yet the quarterback's health given his history was a bigger concern than the overall record.

He suffered two confirmed concussions in 2022, one of which came against the Cincinnati Bengals and forced him to leave the field on a stretcher. That hit came just four days after he remained in the game following a hard hit against the Bills.

What's more, he suffered a concussion during a Week 16 game against the Green Bay Packers but remained in the contest. The extent of the injury wasn't revealed until the aftermath of the game, and he missed the remainder of the season.

Tagovailoa played all 17 games last season, but his health was once again a major concern early in the 2024 campaign.

Despite those concerns, he explained he was never told to retire and is now back on the field looking to lead the Dolphins to a better performance down the stretch of the season.

Tyreek Hill Reveals Wrist Injury Is a Torn Ligament, Will Play for Dolphins vs. Rams

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will take the field for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, but he won't be 100 percent healthy.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Lisa Salters reported Hill will play in the game even though he was listed as questionable. Hill also revealed he is playing with a torn ligament in his wrist, but it won't prevent him from suiting up.

Grant Gordon of NFL.com noted the wrist injury prevented him from practicing Friday and Saturday.

The star receiver has played in each of Miami's eight games this season and has 34 catches for 446 yards and one touchdown. The numbers are a step below last season when he finished with 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The yardage and touchdown totals were both best in the league in 2023, and it marked the second straight season where he posted more than 1,700 yards.

When healthy, Hill is arguably the best wide receiver in the league, making the Pro Bowl in each of his first eight seasons. It is difficult to envision Miami making up any ground in the AFC if he is unable to take the field, especially after such a troubling start.

The Dolphins are 2-6 on the campaign and in last place in the AFC East.

Tua Tagovailoa missing time with a concussion partially explains the poor record, but he is now back and leading the offense. Miami surely hopes to turn things around with the offense healthier, and Hill is a major part of that.

With that in mind, this is a welcome development for the Dolphins even if Hill is limited.

Tyreek Hill 'Doing Everything Possible to Play' amid Wrist Injury, Dolphins HC Says

Ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill is dealing with a wrist injury.

According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, the wrist injury is "heating up," but head coach Mike McDaniel said Hill is "doing everything possible to play."

"We will see how he responds," McDaniel said. "I'm optimistic he's going to do everything he can. But we'll see. I wouldn't say I'm optimistic or pessimistic."

According to Jackson, Hill practiced Thursday but missed Friday's on-field session after suffering the wrist injury. It's the second time this season Hill has suffered a mid-week injury—the other being a foot injury in October that did not keep him from playing against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Dolphins can't afford to play without their top receiver amid a 2-6 start to the season. Hill leads Miami's wide receiver room with 446 receiving yards and a touchdown, though his production hasn't been as impressive as last season.

Part of the hit in his stats has come from Tua Tagovailoa's absence. The starting quarterback has played just four games this season because of a concussion in Week 2 and the Dolphins' offense struggled without him.

Miami has improved offensively since Tagovailoa's return in Week 8, but the Dolphins have still dropped their last two games against the Cardinals and Buffalo Bills, respectively.

Tagovailoa had 234 passing yards and 231 passing yards in those games, respectively, while Hill posted 152 receiving yards between the two contests. While those weren't the most impressive games by Hill's standard, he hadn't recorded more than 70 receiving yards since Week 1, so it was a step in the right direction.

Hill is looking to continue finding his connection with Tagovailoa as the two try to salvage their playoff hopes, but a wrist injury would certainly make things more difficult.

Tyreek Hill Shades Noah Lyles over iShowSpeed Race Video, Olympic Champion Responds

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was unimpressed by Team USA track star Noah Lyles' win in a race against YouTuber IShowSpeed.

Lyles, who claimed the 100-meter gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, won a 50-meter race against the streamer by a small margin on Wednesday.

"And track athletes think he gone beat me," Hill said, accompanied by laughing crying emojis, when quoting the video on X.

Lyles responded that he would "dance across the line on you too."

Lyles sparked beef with multiple professional basketball and football players after he said in August 2023 that an NBA title does not qualify a player to call themselves a "world champion."

After Lyles won gold with a 9.79-second dash in Paris, Hill said in August that he would win in a race with the Olympic champion.

"I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill told Kay Adams in August.

Lyles then told NBC News' David K. Li that he would race Hill, but only in a legitimate race scenario.

"I mean, if somebody wants to sponsor the event and we're racing for millions of dollars and it's on a track and we're running 100 meters, then sure, we can race," Lyles said in August. "But it has to be legit. I'm not here to do gimmicks.

"You're racing against a guy who has worked his whole life to get the title of 'the world's fastest man,' and you've worked to be a great football player. You can't just jump the line because you're a great football player."

Three months later, Lyles accepted the chance to race IShowSpeed over 50 meters with $100,000 on the line.

It still remains to be seen if Lyles' beef with the Dolphins receiver will lead to him racing Hill. After participating in the USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships last spring, Hill said on X that he was "never racing again."

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Posts 'Mic'd Up' Video of Budda Baker Confrontation, 'I'm Him'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill provided fans with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his team's 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8.

Hill posted a "mic'd up" video Thursday, which included his confrontation with Cardinals safety Budda Baker (3:03 mark). While some of what they said to each other had to be muted, Hill did yell "I'm him."

They also showed each other plenty of respect on an ensuing play when the wide receiver blocked Baker.

"No. 3 play hard," Hill told his teammates on the bench.

He also explained to the officials, "I'm not going to fight nobody, man. I'm scared. I'm just talking trash."

Baker and Hill are two of the best players in the league at their respective positions, so it is only right they played well against each other in Sunday's game. The former finished with a game-high 12 tackles and one pass defended, while the latter posted six catches for 72 yards.

It seemed like Hill would earn bragging rights when the Dolphins jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and 27-18 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals came charging back for the win.

James Conner's touchdown and the ensuing extra point cut the deficit to two, and the Cardinals then drove down the field for Chad Ryland's game-winning field goal as time expired.

Miami is just 2-5 on the season, although the Cardinals game marked the return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to the lineup. If he can remain healthy and continue targeting Hill in the aerial attack, they could make a run in the coming weeks.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is debuting a new look ahead of Sunday's Week 9 road game against the Buffalo Bills.

"Just did it," Tagovailoa told reporters on Wednesday about the decision to dye his hair.

Tagovailoa is preparing to make his second straight start after returning from IR following his Week 2 concussion diagnosis. He completed 73.7 percent of his passes for 234 yards and a touchdown last Sunday in a Week 8 loss to the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

Tagovailoa wore a similar hair color during his college career with Alabama, where he led the Crimson Tide to victory in the national championship game against Georgia in 2018.

The Dolphins quarterback also made a mid-season hair change last season, when he returned after a Week 10 bye with braided cornrows.

The Dolphins went on to claim three straight victories and win five of their next six games in 2023.

Miami will now hope Tagovailoa's latest hairstyle change coincides with a similar surge. The Dolphins are heading into Week 9 having lost five of the team's last six games.

Last Sunday's loss during Tagovailoa's return to the field was arguably the most frustrating of the 2024 season so far, as the Dolphins were unable to hold off the Cardinals from getting within range of a walk-off field goal.

Tagovailoa's return still provides hope for the Dolphins, especially given that he was largely able to avoid taking contact in the loss, and despite the 2-6 season start the team's playoff hopes aren't over yet.

The 6-2 Bills head into Week 9 with a commanding lead atop the AFC East, but the Dolphins could still challenge a conference bubble team like the 4-3 Chargers for a spot in the postseason. A win over the Bills on Sunday improves the Dolphins' playoff odds to 14 percent, while a loss drops them to just four percent, according to Next Gen Stats.

Tua Applauded by NFL Fans in Return from Concussion as Dolphins Lose to Cardinals

Despite the Miami Dolphins' 28-27 last-second loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, fans praised quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in his return to the field after suffering his third concussion as a pro in Week 2.

Tagovailoa and the Dolphins fell to 2-5 on the season after their loss at home, while the Cardinals improved to 4-4, extending their winning streak after another tight 17-15 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7.

In his return, Tagovailoa completed 28-of-38 passes for 234 yards, with one touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, quarterback Kyler Murray completed 26-of-36 passes for 307 yards, with two touchdowns and one fumble. Marvin Harrison Jr. contributed a season-high of 111 yards on six receptions with one touchdown.

NFL fans nationwide had mixed emotions about Tua Tagovailoa's return after suffering his third concussion on Sept. 12 against the Buffalo Bills. Following the hit that sidelined him for five weeks, fans speculated that Tagovailoa might be nearing retirement—a short-lived idea that was quickly debunked by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

His return prompted many concerns surrounding the long-term safety of the 26-year-old who told reporters that he would not be wearing a guardian cap over his helmet in his return for "personal reasons."

Regardless of the outcome, Miami fans were excited to have Tagovailoa back on the field and even more thrilled to see him slide safely for a first down, cheering "Tua" in support of the decision.

Fans took to social media to praise the excellence of the Miami offense under Tagovailoa.

Next Sunday, the Dolphins will seek redemption alongside their QB as they face the 5-2 Buffalo Bills on the road.
